Login problems generally come in the following patterns:

If you've used a link from off-campus and are trying to login on a brown-ish colored "RPAS" screen with "Keystone Library Network" branding:

  • You are in the right place, try this in the right-hand login options box:
    • Select "Shippensburg University" from the list
    • Enter your Ship email address
    • Enter your password (chcek for Caps Lock and typos)
  • If this does not work, try this in the left-hand login options box:
    • Enter your Ship ID number, an 11 digit number starting with 65
    • Enter your last name (capitalization does not matter)
  • If neither option works, there is a problem with your account.
    • Email librarian@ship.edu
    • Tell us what database you were trying, copy/paste any error messages displayed, and give us your full name.
    • We will troubleshoot the error and get back with you

If you are being asked for a login on any page which does not match the login page description above - there is a problem with the link you are trying to access. To try fixing this yourself:

  • Go to the library website http://library.ship.edu
  • If you know the database you want
    • go to the Databases List A-Z
    • Select the tab for the first letter of the database name
    • Click the name to enter the database
    • If you get errors from the login page
      • email librarian@ship.edu
      • Tell us what database you were trying, copy/paste any error messages displayed, and give us your full name.
      • We will troubleshoot the error and get back with you
  • If you know the journal title you want, go to thge Journal List A-Z
    • go to the Journals List A-Z
    • Search for the name of the journal
    • Click the name of a database which conatins the journal
    • If you get errors from the login page
      • email librarian@ship.edu
      • Tell us what database you were trying, copy/paste any error messages displayed, and give us your full name.
      • We will troubleshoot the error and get back with you
