Books (and other physical items) requested via ILLiad are automatically checked out to the requester when they arrive in the library. Each physical item requested costs the library approximately $8.00 in transaction and shipping/delivery fees.

Items requested are usually kept on the "Interlibrary Loan shelf" at the Circulation Desk for pickup by the requestor. After two or three weeks the items not picked up are returned to the loaning library.
